Stephen’s logo design and branding process ensures that the final outcome not only looks good, but helps you achieve your goals. Below is an overview of the four stages that make up the full process.

1. Brand discovery
When you initially get in touch, Stephen will discuss your specifications for the project. He will consider your business objectives, the requirements of your target audience, and the marketing strategies of competitors in order to decide on the best approach to the design process.
Having a comprehensive understanding of your company is crucial for ensuring the final logo or brand identity successfully communicates your brand vision.
Using the information from your brief, Stephen will explore the appropriate imagery, colours, and typography to build your new brand.
He will then collate his findings to create a smart presentation – a stylescape. This will be a visual representation of your brand’s tone of voice, aesthetic style, and goals and will inform the stylistic choices made throughout the rest of the process.
Once the research phase has been successfully completed, initial concepts will be formulated around the brief and the new stylescape. These designs will then be presented and you will have the opportunity to let Stephen know your thoughts. There are rarely any major objections, but any amendments you request will be actioned at this stage.
At this final stage, the designs will be finalised and signed off. Both vector and raster files will be prepared for delivery. These file types include PDF, EPS, PNG and JPEG as standard, covering the majority of use cases that a business will need to apply their designs.
Everything is designed to ensure the logo and/or brand identity system can be efficiently implemented. At the end of the process, the vision can be released into the world and you can watch as the results come in.
