The client
Beacon Farm is a family-run ice cream parlour, tearoom and campsite based in Whitby, North Yorkshire. Located near the beach, the farm is a hotspot for tourists visiting Whitby and looking for a scenic place to stay.
The goal
The owners of Beacon Farm had identified that their website needed an updated appearance and were looking to improve the user experience. They felt that the campsite needed to be prioritised on the website and wanted the experience of the website to encourage more online bookings.
The outcome
In response to the client’s brief, we remodelled the structure, user interface, design and messaging, delivering an engaging new website. The design of the new site emphasises the scenic campsite at Beacon Farm and encourages users to book through an easy-to-use calendar widget. As a result, Beacon Farm has experienced a large increase in booking numbers following the website’s launch.
